Shipping & Live Arrival
Ordering live coral online requires trust, and we do not take that lightly.
At Living Systems Aquatics, every order is reviewed before shipping. We consider livestock condition, weather, carrier timing, and safe arrival before sending coral out the door.
We would rather delay a shipment than rush livestock into poor conditions.
Our goal is simple: healthy coral, clear communication, and no guessing after checkout.
Business Hours & Order Review
Living Systems Aquatics operates Monday through Friday during normal business hours, Central Time.
Orders placed outside business hours, including weekends and holidays, are safely received by our system and will be reviewed on the next business day.
Every order is reviewed before shipping. We consider livestock condition, weather, carrier timing, and safe arrival before finalizing shipment plans.
Customers will receive an order confirmation immediately after checkout and additional communication as their order progresses through review and scheduling.
What Happens After I Order?
Immediately after checkout, you will receive an order confirmation email showing that your order has been successfully received.
Once your order has been reviewed, we will send an update regarding your expected shipping schedule and any important details related to your livestock.
If weather conditions, livestock condition, holidays, or carrier schedules require a shipping delay, we will communicate those details as soon as possible.
Our goal is to keep you informed throughout the process so you are never left wondering about the status of your order.
Shipping Philosophy
The health and safety of our livestock always comes first.
Corals are not shipped according to a fixed schedule. Every order is evaluated based on livestock condition, weather conditions, carrier timing, and safe delivery expectations.
If conditions are not suitable for safe transport, shipment may be delayed until a more appropriate shipping window becomes available.
Nature sets the pace here. We would rather delay a shipment than compromise the health of the animals in our care.
Live Arrival Guarantee
We stand behind the health of the livestock we ship.
In the unlikely event that livestock arrives dead on arrival (DOA), customers must contact us within 2 hours of the carrier's recorded delivery time.
To submit a DOA claim, please provide:
• Clear photographs of the unopened bag containing the livestock
• Clear photographs of the livestock after the bag has been opened, if requested
• A photograph of the shipping label
• Your order number
Video documentation of the unboxing process is encouraged and may help expedite claim review, but is not required.
All claims are reviewed individually. Living Systems Aquatics reserves the right to request additional information when necessary.
Livestock should not be discarded until the claim review process has been completed.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive and promptly inspect the shipment on the scheduled delivery date.
Live coral is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions. Packages should be brought indoors and opened as soon as possible after delivery.
Leaving a package unattended for an extended period after delivery may void the Live Arrival Guarantee.
Claim Resolution
Approved DOA claims will generally be resolved through store credit equal to the value of the affected livestock.
In certain circumstances, Living Systems Aquatics may choose to provide a replacement or another mutually agreed resolution at its discretion.
Our goal is always to provide a fair and reasonable outcome while prioritizing the health and welfare of the animals in our care.
Situations Not Covered
The Live Arrival Guarantee does not apply to:
• Incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer
• Packages left unattended after delivery
• Missed delivery attempts
• Delays caused by the customer requesting shipment holds or schedule changes
• Claims submitted after the required notification window
• Livestock losses occurring after successful arrival
